Audition Info
COLLEGIATE STUDENTS
The Audition procedure for incoming undergraduate students in the collegiate program is a two-part process. All students must submit a pre-screening video before being invited to the live audition dates in December 2024 (ED1) or January/February 2025 (ED2 and Regular Decision). For full information on the audition and application process, refer to the Blair Admissions page and carefully read all the requirements. Be sure to take notice of all dates, repertoire, and deadlines!
AUDITION TIPS:
Dress nicely and present yourself as professionally as possible.
Come well-prepared. We suggest that students perform their audition repertoire multiple times for friends, family, teachers, etc. before stepping on-stage to audition for college.
For every studio, there is some element of repertoire choice. Choose repertoire from the list that showcases the best of what you can do. Don’t pick the piece or excerpts that you think you should pick. Choose what will allow you to present your best playing.
